REAL ESTATE AND REPTILES

I was sitting on phone duty last week when I received a phone call asking to show a 25,000 camp in Port Barre, LA. I probably should have said no right off the bat because the location is 45 minutes away so if I did sell this house the gas money would out weigh the commission. But being the nice person that I am I went anyway. So while doing all the normal prep work I registered my showing and printed out the showing instructions. The instructions caught my eye. Right there in big bold letters BEWARE OF REPTILES HOME IS ON THE BAYOU!
That is just not something I want to deal with. I got to thinking the showing agent should have been more specific. Did she mean large or small reptiles. Snakes or Alligators! If snakes what sort of snakes. And if I should encounter them what should I do? Where was the nearest hospital!? She gave just enough information for my mind to run wild and wander upon every possible bad situation.
Needless to say that was not a pleasant showing. I was looking around for creepy crawly things the whole time. Not a fan of things that slither around on their belly.
Hope I gave you a chuckle for the day. Not every day you are told to watch for harmful animals. Just a day in the life of a realtor in Louisiana
