Flirting with life...

So I am trying to keep up with a blog a day in May that Jenni from Story of My Life has challenged us to do. I'm doing pretty great I think! It is only day 4 but I'll take it! Today's blog is supposed to be our favorite quote and why we love it. I couldn't pick one. I know you guys don't know me that well yet but you will probably learn that I love quotes! I have tons of journals lying around with just quotes I stumble upon. So for the purpose of today's blog I limited my quotes to two.

Traveling is like flirting with life; It's like saying,  "I would stay & love you, but I have to go; this is my station."
I just love this quote. I really feel like I can't stay in one place and I come most alive when I am in another city. I love to discover new places. Try new cuisine and meet new people.

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
                                               Neil Gaima

I send the second quote to my friends on their birthdays. I just love it. I guess it's because it is all the things I wish for myself in words. We all want to surprise ourselves in a good way.

Falling in Love

I believe falling in love with a city is just as exciting as falling in love with a person. Your senses become engaged and you simply feel more alive...

Paris
I took this picture in Paris a couple of years ago and it has ruined me forever. If I ever find a man that wants to marry me I think I will have to take my pictures in the garden of the Louvre like this gorgeous couple. They were the cutest thing and I was so happy to stumble upon them.

The minute I stepped off the plane in Paris I knew I would hold a lifetime love affair with the city. Every where I turned was magic. Each corner of this city holds a piece of my heart and I can't wait till the day I am reunited with my love.

Do you feel that way about a city?

Changes

Travel changes me. The person I always come back as isn't the person I go as.

Sorry guys this picture isn't mine. I saved it off of Tumblr a long time ago so I am clueless to who took it. I do know it was taken in Paris hence the locks of love.

Consolation prize

It took me a long time to learn I wouldn't be his consolation prize. And he wouldn't be mine.
                                                Meg Fee

So I may be a new blogger but you will come to learn I love quotes and will post them on a regular basis. One of my favorite bloggers Meg Fee has a way with words and I tend to write her quotes down in whatever book I am carrying around at the time. She just seems to know what to say all the time! It's like she can see into my soul. Anyway, if you don't know about her check her out.

Resolutions

"We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of work to be done, cracks to be patched. Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives... not looking for flaws, but for potential."
                                                    Ellen Goddman

I needed this quote today. I have been trying to get back and find my motivation. I needed to remember why I made those resolutions in the first place. Why I have been working out. I need to remember it's all for me and no one else.

Today was rough, it was pouring down rain and I had a 5:15 AM Pilates appointment to make. Nothing makes me want to stay in bed more than hearing the rain hit the windows and well I wasn't in the mood to get wet. I will say I pushed past the warmth and made it to Pilates. Everyone must be on Spring Break this week because I had the studio all to myself Monday morning and today. I don't mind because I get a kick ass workout but man it is always nice to have someone there to suffer with you when your legs are shaking.

I've got two 5K's coming up and I need to get back on the training bandwagon or they are both going to suck! Hopefully I motivate myself to run tonight. This weekend is going to be extra hard to motivate myself because I will be in Lafayette. I will just have to make time for a run each day. Carve out a space, it only takes 30 minutes!

Paris

Paris is kind of like a contagious disease.
