Pack Your Bags

Morning Friends!

Today we are tasked to give a piece of advice. I think the best advice I can give you is to Travel. I'm not asking you to pack up and travel to Europe right now I'm just asking you to pack up and at least travel down the road. I know you may say I don't have the money but I promise there is a way. For instance I was looking up flights to Jamaica today and I discovered an airline I had never heard of with unreal prices! So next time I fly I may consider flying Spirit. I'm assuming they are similar to Ryan Air in Europe. I can't say it any better than Henry Rollins said so I will let him give you advice today.

Seriously I learned so much about myself through travel. I learned I could survive in a foreign country on my own/by myself. I learned to like myself more because I was spending so much time alone. I learned that there are some pretty amazing places right here in America and some out of this world places in other parts of the world. So I implore you to TRAVEL!

Flirting with life...

So I am trying to keep up with a blog a day in May that Jenni from Story of My Life has challenged us to do. I'm doing pretty great I think! It is only day 4 but I'll take it! Today's blog is supposed to be our favorite quote and why we love it. I couldn't pick one. I know you guys don't know me that well yet but you will probably learn that I love quotes! I have tons of journals lying around with just quotes I stumble upon. So for the purpose of today's blog I limited my quotes to two.

Traveling is like flirting with life; It's like saying,  "I would stay & love you, but I have to go; this is my station."
I just love this quote. I really feel like I can't stay in one place and I come most alive when I am in another city. I love to discover new places. Try new cuisine and meet new people.

May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
                                               Neil Gaima

I send the second quote to my friends on their birthdays. I just love it. I guess it's because it is all the things I wish for myself in words. We all want to surprise ourselves in a good way.

Falling in Love

I believe falling in love with a city is just as exciting as falling in love with a person. Your senses become engaged and you simply feel more alive...

Paris
I took this picture in Paris a couple of years ago and it has ruined me forever. If I ever find a man that wants to marry me I think I will have to take my pictures in the garden of the Louvre like this gorgeous couple. They were the cutest thing and I was so happy to stumble upon them.

The minute I stepped off the plane in Paris I knew I would hold a lifetime love affair with the city. Every where I turned was magic. Each corner of this city holds a piece of my heart and I can't wait till the day I am reunited with my love.

Do you feel that way about a city?

Changes

Travel changes me. The person I always come back as isn't the person I go as.

Sorry guys this picture isn't mine. I saved it off of Tumblr a long time ago so I am clueless to who took it. I do know it was taken in Paris hence the locks of love.

Store Windows

Don't you just love when a store window catches your eye enough to make you want to enter? No I didn't go in but that is only because I wasn't in need of glasses. Strange display for an optical shop.

TAXI!

So this is my first view of those cute London Taxis. We had to ride in one yesterday because of the rain. The cabbie was quite cheeky. He totally agreed with me on politics which I thought was amusing.
I do wish New York would have Taxi stands like Paris and London. So much easier to catch one then to hail one. Maybe not as much fun.

LONDON RAIN

So I feel like it is always dark and dreary here in London. It is has pretty much rained the entire time I have been here. They say Seattle is rainy. I think London tops that. Just missed getting caught in a huge downpour this afternoon after leaving the Tower of London.
