Saving for Jamaica

So I just love Pinterest because you can get so many great ideas there. It's where I found this neat idea to help me pay for Jamaica. You see one of my best friends just got engaged but she decided to get married in Jamaica. Of course I want to go but I had to find a way to save the cash. Enter Pinterest and all the crazy ideas I get there.

I picked up this 52 Week Money Challenge and I have been donating to my little Mason Jar ever since! It really works but I switch up the weeks going back and forth between the end of the month to the beginning of the month. I don't want to get stuck having to contribute $200 in November and December! But it really is a great idea. And when I get random extra cash I donate it to the Jamaica fund! This way I'll get to see my friend get married and have a kick ass vacation to go along with it. And I've never been to Jamaica. This fits right into my savings and weight loss plans! Be hot by Feb and have enough money to stay for a few days beyond the wedding.

  1. I need to do this! I have no reason to, other than just really wanting to travel!
I have never been anywhere tropical, so I think that will have to be my next goal :)

  2. I love to travel so this was the perfect way to save. I'm about to start a jar for Australia too. I've always wanted to visit so I figured why not save this way.

  3. This is such a fantastic idea. I am trying to convince the hubby to save up for a trip to Disney, so maybe if I use this method, he'll be all about it. ;)

I just stumbled upon your blog, and I love it! I am your newest follower, and I would love for you to follow me too! :)

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you for the follow! I will def follow back.

I love this method and I also do the jar where when I have loose change I always drop it in. It's also my preventative method of not using the change for cokes! Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. Ha!
